About the Designer
Garments constructed and modeled by Tyler Bel-Cher
Tyler studies sleek styles with posh construction and attention to detail. He focuses on producing quality garments, and the ingrained perfectionism shows through in his work. With a background in drawing and painting, he also explores colors and the flow of form in his designs. When he is not constructing a quality garment for class, he is creatively designing garments from reused materials.
With a background in couture techniques, draping, and pattern making, bel-cher is both DETAIL-ORIENTED in fit, garment construction, and HAND-SEWING techniques. Their mix of sleek design and color THEORY IS shown by stylish, quality garments.
About Ty’s sustainable background
He may bring construction skills to sewing with yardage of fabric, but this designer is not afraid to get a little messy when reusing materials. Turning old garments or curtains into a new, innovative design is where Tyler’s creativity grows wings and flies. This jacket was made from two old jackets. It started messy, with a bunch of holes cut into each. Then, it turned into something beautiful.
